Want to understand your skin better?
Read the complete AMICI guide to skincare for tweens and teens ages 9–16, including routines, puberty, ingredients, acne and sun protection.

What does the AMICI Teen Skin Quiz look at?
The quiz looks at how your skin behaves during a normal day, including shine, oiliness in the T-zone, dryness, sensitivity, breakouts, how your skin feels after cleansing and how it responds to new skincare products.
These answers help identify which general skin profile sounds most like your current skin. Your skin can show characteristics of more than one profile and may change as you move through puberty.
Understanding your resultWhat is a teen skin profile?
During puberty, skin can change quickly. Hormonal changes can influence oil production, sweating, clogged pores and sensitivity. Skin that felt balanced before puberty may suddenly become oilier, drier or more reactive.
A skin profile is a simple way to describe the characteristics your skin shows most often. It is not a medical diagnosis, and young skin does not always fit perfectly into one category.
Oily teen skin
Often looks shiny, particularly across the forehead, nose and chin, and may be more prone to clogged pores or breakouts.
Combination skin
Usually combines a shinier T-zone with cheeks that feel more balanced or occasionally dry.
Normal or dry skin
Produces less excess oil and may sometimes feel dry, tight or in need of additional hydration.
Sensitive skin
May react more easily with redness, stinging or discomfort. Sensitive characteristics can occur alongside oily, dry or combination skin.
